UNITY RALLY AND STAFF LAYOFF PROTEST AT UIC WEDNESDAY, JULY 30

UIC announced this past week that they will eliminate 250 full-time employees at the Medical Center starting August 15th but have been vague about where those cuts will come and whether or not they will affect patient care areas.  In order to protest these cuts, SEIU will be joining with the Illinois Nurses Association at a rally outside of the UIC hospital (1740 W. Taylor) on Wednesday, July 30th from 6-8:30 am and 3-5 p.m.  Join your fellow workers to demand that the UIC administration stop balancing the budget on the backs of workers!
